A PLACE that introduces the basics of BABES, (Pk-5th grade) with a curriculum that offers a total systems approach to the development of healthy living skills and the prevention of self-defeating behaviors.

A PLACE that hosts Feeling Forest Field Trips …

Starting in the fall of 2018, students in Wayne, Oakland, Macomb counties and other areas will be able to tap into the MAGIC of their MINDS (MoM) during FEELING FOREST field trips.

• Recovering Reggie (a dog) — Knowledge acquired from experiences in recovering (with dignity) from alcohol and other drug disorders

A Training Place for The Young at Heart: Adults

Trainings:

CERTIFIED BABES PRESENTERS

This 2.5 day training is held at PREVENTON PLACE. Individuals will be trained in Basic BABES (grades K-5). After certification they will be able to present BABES to children in classrooms, Faith-Based organizations, within agencies that serve children and families, after school programs, etc. Trainees receive a Basic BABES kit which consists of seven plush BABES Puppets, a teaching curriculum, seven storybooks, BABES music on CD, and a BABES Bag. Twelve MCBAP (Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals) credit hours are available.

TRAINER OF CERTIFIED BABES PRESENTERS

Individuals who are Certified BABES Presenters and meet the pre-requisites will qualify to become a Trainer of Presenters. Once certified they will be qualified to train individuals to become Certified BABES Presenters. This is a 5-Day training. A total of 27 MCBAP credit hours are available.
