Joey Sanchez and Mildred Demmert of the Pueblo Department of Education, and Rita Cantsee of the Navajo Nation Department of Behavioral Health/Prevention are working with BABES World Home to develop a 5-day BABES Training program in Santa Ana, Arizona in late April. This joint BABES training will involve 2 days of certification activity for BABES Trainers, 2 days of BABES Presenter Training, and 1 day of Suicide Prevention activities, which will involve both the BABES Trainers and Presenters. It is expected that a group of 17 to 20 Pueblo and Navajos will be trained during the 5-day BABES Training program.
Rev. Dr. Lottie Jones Hood, BABES Founder and CEO will be present in Santa Ana and will introduce the new Suicide module which has been develop in partnership with the Navajo Nation Department of Behavioral Health/Prevention group.
