Little Lambs Visit Prevention Place

BABES welcomed our first group of Pre-school students to visit PREVENTION PLACE on Thursday, October 4th. It was the first time that a group of children this young entered into MoM (Magic of Your Mind) for a fieldtrip. We couldn’t wait to capture the expressions on their faces once stepping from the spaceship onto the Feeling Forest – and they truly didn’t disappoint.

They came from Mary’s Little Lambs daycare located in the very same building as PREVENTION PLACE. During their visit, we were able to introduce these little lambs to the BABES puppets and their roles; and before they left to return to daycare most of them knew the names of all seven puppets. Most of the children were particularly curious about what was inside of Myth Mary’s Tree House that is constructed in the center of PREVENTION PLACE.

They also learned the “cupcake story” – Lesson Two of Basic BABES dealing with Decision Making and Peer Pressure. Although practically all of them weren’t familiar with what peer pressure is, we are confident that the next time they hear the words, they will think of cupcakes and BABES. In the story, brother and sister Buttons and Bows were told by their mom not to eat the freshly baked cupcakes until after dinner. However, Myth Mary applied some peer pressure and before long, they were enjoying the cupcakes with consequences that followed.

Contact BABESWORLD today to inquire about Pre-School PREVENTION PLACE fieldtrips which are held on Thursdays – ages 3-5.
