We are excited to announce that BABESWORLD and Renaissance High Schools International Baccalaureate program will partner together in the Fall of 2020. Students will undergo Babes training using the newest story on justice.
The International Baccalaureate program has developed a curriculum for students called Creative, Activity and Service (CAS) to enhance learning by providing experiences that engage young people in the local community as well as global issues. In order for students to successfully complete the CAS class they must demonstrate the following project challenges: 1. Show initiative, 2. Demonstrate perseverance 3. Develop skills such as collaboration, problem solving and leading and organizing the completion of projects. It is through the partnership with the Babes community that students will have and opportunity to become reflective practitioners of CAS principles on their way to personal growth and self-discovery.
In addition to learning basic life skills students will be able to interact and teach elementary and special needs students in the local community. The relationships that are built will help students enhance their own personal and interpersonal development through service learning experiences. The collaboration of Babes and CAS is a natural progression that leads students to learning leadership skills, planning and creating projects that challenge students to grow through self-reflection.
